This piece is an 8″ by 10″ oil and acrylic painting on a board. It comes with a frame that has the outer dimensions of 11″ by 13″.

This is the third piece in my elemental series, representing air. I wanted to focus on storytelling and a limited color palette, as well as playing with texture in my acrylic underpainting.

Makenna Karp

Makenna Karp is a fantasy illustrator and oil painter specializing in illustrations for board games and book covers.

Commencing her formal art education at Pratt Institute in 2019, Makenna took a different path after a year, immersing herself in traditional painting and drawing at Watts Atelier from 2021 to 2023.

Currently, she calls northern California home. When she's not painting, she can be found climbing rocks or wandering through the redwoods.
