The courage to create

Did you know that “anemic galaxies” actually exist in the universe? They’re deficient in many elements required to create stars. These galaxies lack the outstanding beauty of bright stars and really defined spirals… they just can’t keep up.

I found out about this while searching for references for the background. I was instantly attracted to beautiful galaxy that the Hubble Space telescope captured that looked different to the rest I’ve seen. Why am I telling you this? Because on that same day I found out that I am very anemic!

I know, not a laughing matter, but now I know that out there, in the universe, there are galaxies that lack iron too =) The one I liked is known as “NGC 4689”, and it’s a cutie.

You are no stranger to feeling awful and useless when your health is less than ideal. I’ve found that I can’t keep up with work, ideas flow slowly and trying to get by is challenging. Still, the work that I make in those conditions has the same amount of love.

We might lack the fuel that makes our bodies work properly, but we’re not lacking in effort and courage to keep going. Right?

As I feel comforted by looking at the sky in my worst days, I hope that my art (my little stars) reaches someone who needs it. That it can serve as a reminder that out there, there are galaxies creating stars in the worst conditions, and they’re still beautiful, inspiring and very much appreciated!

The edges are painted in dark blue. It comes ready to hang.

I tried to capture the colors as accurately as possible (not perfect), but still it might not show properly in different screens.
