Love yourself

A few years ago, I discovered that I loved drawing with ink. And that I loved drawing hair flowing. With this drawing, I just went free and drew as many strands of hair as I could. She remained black and white for years.

Now, when I decided to show it to you all this year, I decided to give her color. It’s like my mentality during this year is finding its way to my art. Me from 2018 wanted to add color, but didn’t feel confident. This time, 8 years later, I grabbed that baton and went for it!

“Love Yourself” is a piece that celebrates things that make me happy. Drawing hair, peonies and metallic accents. It’s a little nod to the moments we choose ourselves and what makes us happy.

(Even if those decisions come years later!)
