Strange Skull #2

Strange Skull #2 is part of a new series, focusing on how far the form of the skull can be pushed from imagination. As an artist I have spent a long time studying reality, but the real fun is in breaking it.

#2 is Acrylic ink on Ampersand Gessoboard. Starting from thin ambiguous blobs and lines and bringing it out of to fog. My hope is that these feel like they have a tale to tell and spark questions of origin. A skull in a box that would be quite at home in some mad-scientists private collection of the weird.
