Emerging

This is an oil painting on a 10 x 10″ gallery canvas with 1″ rails.  This alla prima painting was done as a practice in edges both above and below a water line.  I pushed the chromatic detailing in the eyes to help divide what was submerged with what was still visible above.  This is another practice painting for a project I will starting soon with a lot of water involved.
