Aluminated 2

My first painting on metal for EDO in 3 years. Alluminated 2 is an exploration on aluminum in Acrylic and Enamel, with the dramatic inclusion of engraving down through the paint to the metal below. The rendering on the face is accomplished with crosshatching in tightly controlled value ranges, the lines of which complement the intaglio engraving on the skulls, gears and hair. The result is a piece that can truly, only be experienced in person. As the piece will change as you walk around it and the light shifts with your movement.
