Siren is an exploration Acrylic on Aluminum, with the dramatic addition of engraving down through the paint, intaglio style. The rendering on the face is accomplished with crosshatching in tightly controlled value ranges, the lines of which complement the hatchwork engraving on the rest of the image. Creating a piece that can truly, only be experienced in person. The notable thing here is that the piece will change as you walk around it and the light shifts with your movement. In these days of easy reproduction it is my goal to create iconic work that is virtually unreproducible.
