Wonders of the Battenkill

This month I went on a little camping trip with my family and friends out on the Battenkill River in Vermont. While I was there, I put together this little study of some of the natural wonders my daughter and I found around our campsite. We spent our nights looking up into the clear sky at the moon and stars above, and our days collecting flowers, inspecting the bugs around us, and searching for animals. Just having a few days to be surrounded by and living in nature helped recharge my own magical pull to the earth, and watching my young daughter experience everything around her and be so in awe of the plants, insects, and animals around us helped me disconnect from the chaos of the regular world around us and be more present in the moment.

I hope this piece brings you a bit of the magic we experienced there.
