Three of Swords

The Three of Swords is the ultimate card of heartbreak. The sharp pangs in the heart are depicted by three epées – epée dueling has the entire body as a target instead of specific zones, which is very much how true heartbreak feels. And Bleeding Hearts represent pain and a split between two people, often the cause of such painful matters of the heart.

This card was one of the first I’d ever had in mind, because the Rider-Waite version is so iconic, and I immediately knew what plant would depict it.
