Spring Fairy

This piece is an 8″ by 10″ oil painting on a board. It comes with an ornate silver frame that has the outer dimensions of 10″ by 12″.

She’s the first in a series of four seasonal fairies, the spring fairy! I looked at a lot of vintage fairy tale book art to get inspired for this and had fun staying loose with my paint.

Makenna Karp

Makenna Karp is a fantasy illustrator and oil painter specializing in illustrations for board games and book covers.

Commencing her formal art education at Pratt Institute in 2019, Makenna took a different path after a year, immersing herself in traditional painting and drawing at Watts Atelier from 2021 to 2023.

Currently, she calls northern California home. When she's not painting, she can be found climbing rocks or wandering through the redwoods.
