Pondering Dreams

Hush, oh hush,
There lies the dream,
Flipped and asleep,
Un-awaking.

Waiting, waiting,
No sounds, just pondering,
If there comes a day,
Life be Stirring.

A wasp is known to symbolize “taking actions” and “not sitting on dreams”. Coincidentally, at a small gathering of friends early this year, one of my friends’ kids busted out a small glass jar, containing an overturned wasp. It was seemingly like a wake up call for me to stop overthinking and procrastinating about my art projects and creative works.

Christine R. Bay is a Singapore-based visual artist, pop-surrealist and sculptor who dabbles in both digital and traditional media.
