‘Lies Between’ is a tonal drawing on Duralar. Continuing my exploration of layering, the piece is drawn in Prismacolor on both sides of the translucent vellum-type surface. After the drawing is complete, an Acrylagouache middle-value is painted on the reverse of the material in specific areas. The color backs the drawing by ghosting up through to the front surface.
It will come framed as shown.
