Krampus
by Elliot Lang
‘Krampus’ is an ink and gouache painting, originally an illustration for an article published on the eponymous Christmas creature.
As the folklore tells it, the Krampus accompanies Saint Nick to punish wicked children and dispense coal, and has his own night on December 5, before the feast of Saint Nicholaus, called Krampusnacht. As they say, ‘Greetings from Krampus’, or:
“Gruss vom Krampus!”
The painting is 8″ x 10″, and comes in a gold frame.
