Eos
by Elliot Lang
Eos is the mother of Phaethon and the personification of dawn. Eos is an ink, gouache and gold leaf painting inspired by the myth of Eos and Tithonus.
In the story, Eos had asked Zeus to grant Tithonus eternal life, but forgot to ask also for eternal youth, so her husband grew old and withered. Her tears are that of sunlight.
This painting comes framed and ready to hang.
