Countess Marya Zaleska

by Briana Mora

“Oh, who is she?
A misty memory
a haunting face
Is she a lost embrace?”
-I Monster

With autumn on the horizon, I was inspired to create something befitting our spookiest season. My focus for this piece was creating a haunting and arresting gaze. To highlight this, her eyes are painted in reflective pearly paint. This ensures that they catch the light ever so eerily, perfect for following you around the room.

Mixed media- Gouache and Acrylic paints on arches watercolor paper. 4″x6″, with a 1/8th inch border ready for framing.
