This odd little creature is one of the various species of “Land Fleas” from my little world, The Broken Planet!
He is a Clawed Marsh Hopper and from the back view he has a second, not-so-false face. Other creatures don’t know if he’s coming or going!
These beings seem to thrive in damp or wet wooded areas of the forest and burrow in leaf litter. Their frog-like body allows them to jump fast and high. They drink water through their skin when in the water and when they come out the skin hardens into more of a protective exoskeleton/ insect shell. Their little claws are useful for grabbing onto tiny insects, clinging to skin and hair of other beings, climbing, cutting and digging.
