Carmen lies in the river in a linen wedding dress. She feels as though she is falling but she is really lying very still. This is a portrait I painted of a dear friend of mine for the first in my series of witches. I wanted this piece to have a haunting quality to it or a sadness. Thank you Carmen, for lying in the river for me.
