This clock stopped working long ago, but is now a cozy home to a diligent little spider. This is my most intricate spider artwork to date and contains laser cut metallic paper gears weathered with acrylic paints, laser etched spider webs on non-reflective acrylic, and a tiny watercolor painted spider. The artwork is framed in a vintage, gothic style, wooden clock case. The convex glass is actually broken, which gave me the inspiration for this piece, but the broken glass has been stabilized and filed down at the open edges for safety. This is a piece that really has to be seen in person as the layers of Optium Museum Acrylic are practically invisible and really make the webs look like they’re floating. Photos just can’t do justice to the depth and detail of the layers! If you are looking for a really unique piece, this little spider would love to keep watch over your home!
