Pantomime

Original Art by Caroline Vos

A voyage through time. When I came across the reference of a cat in a clown outfit taken sometime at the end of the 18th century it made me think how, in certain ways, we have changed so little. It felt so relatable in a modern, social media context. The cat is creating a version of themselves through us, as though in a play. I have brought them here now to appear in this little performance. He seems to ask “Why?”.
