Light-Bearer

by Amelia Leonards

She beats against the swirling currents, bones hollow and aching, muscles straining. The flutter of ghostly wings is a hissing cacophony of meaningless sound that shivers and shatters the clouds into sharp feathered shards, but still- she battles on.

Despite the whispers, despite the hollow blackness, despite the rustling, dark bodies pressing in all around her, she makes the night beautiful.

She brings light into the dark velvet sky.

And as she flies, she leaves a trail of stars in her wake, burning bright and defiant in the echoing void.

As always, this piece looks amazing in a gold frame, BUT will be sold and shipped in a white mat.  Why?  Two reasons:

A- maybe our frame tastes are WILDLY different, and you’d like to pick your own, and

B- birds have an easier time flying to you without glass.  Glass makes them nervous.
