Eight of Swords/Ice Plant
by Kevin Jay Stanton
The Ice Plant appears to be frozen over by dew and crystallized; it is known as a symbol of frigidity. This small succulent is covered in bladder cells that store extra water and glisten in the sunlight. As it grows through much of Northeast Africa and the Middle East, the swords are Persian scimitars.
DIVINATORY – Frozen in place, restricted. Unable to leave a bad situation because of fear.
REVERSE – Solitude has a healing effect. The chance for new possibilities.
