Misbah Street
by Mark Harrison
Another of my Orientalist paintings with it’s origins in a Midjourney piece, this one I tried to keep it soft and atmospheric by painting it with a rag as well as brushes. This reminds me of many places that I have been to over the years wandering around streets and markets in Morocco, Egypt, India etc. Often a street or alley specialises in certain products like spices etc. This street sells hanging lamps (Misbah means light/lantern in Arabic).
