Lupus Paeonia

Peering through the blossoming fauna she evaluated the newcomer with wary interest.
Using graphite powder and pencil with kneaded erasers I created this piece as a study and homage to some of my favorite flora and fauna. My first animal love – the wolf, and the peony flower – which I’ve always appreciated most at the cusp of blossoming to reveal it’s full potential.
This piece measures at 5 x 8.25 in. or 13 x 22 cm.
