In Times of Great Peril, Resilience Soars

In dark times, it may seem as though the world around us is crumbling to the ground. But be assured that the light is out there fighting in the shadows, ready to soar high into the sky.

This piece draws heavily on my research into the symbology of the natural and mystical world around us. Sparrows are often associated with resilience, protection and adaptability. Irises represent faith, hope and courage. And the Aster flower symbolizes perseverance and patience.

Please Note: For the photos I removed the glass from the frame to get rid of the glare – the frame does have a glass panel.
