Grandfather Dagon & Grandmother Hydra

by Heather Hudson

There is a Shadow over Innsmouth… but not, in these two, a very ominous one.

Begun as an experiment, Grandfather Dagon (who reminds me of Raoul Julia playing Mac the Knife) lay around the studio unfinished for a while.  He seemed small and lonely, so when I sat down to finish him, I painted Grandmother Hydra to keep him company.  I offer them here as a single artwork; they were meant to be together, do not ask me to separate them now.

Offered as a set, this artwork consists portraits of a Deep One couple in 19th century dress.  The portraits are painted in acrylic on stretched 3” x 3” cavasses, and are 3/8″ deep.  I will write the title and artist’s name on the back, on the stretcher bars, before shipping.

Grandfather Dagon and Grandmother Hydra come with a single certificate of authenticity.  No rights are transferred with sale. Any import fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Shipping to the UK and EU is unavailable due to VAT and related paperwork.

size: two paintings at 3" x3" x 3/8"
medium: acrylic on canvas
