Fortuitous

Fortuitous is a mixed-media painting done in acrylic and colored pencil and features two lucky golden frogs resting on a rose. Last summer, I was delighted to find a frog in a rose unexpectedly and have been wanting a to create a painting of that since, with feelings of summertime with a magical touch. Fortuitous is 4″x 4″ and enclosed in an 8″x 8″ frame, and is ready to hang.

Caitlin Fowler
Caitlin Fowler is an artist based in Northern California. Her work is narrative based, gravitating towards the realm of dreaminess and dark fantasy with a feminine, ethereal feel. While she finds inspiration in everyday life and occurrences, her biggest influences have been mythology, folklore, literature, psychology and the natural world. She works primarily with mixed media using ink, acrylic washes, and colored pencil.
