Breathe

Original Art by Grant Cooley

“Breathe” is an exciting addition to my latest series of works. This series consists of an Oil painting over a sumingashi underpainting; an ink painting on mulberry or rice paper. This piece in particular was an exploration of color and shape with the figure being a secondary element designed to accent the others. I loved every minute of painting this and can’t wait to share more!

About the Artist

Grant Cooley

I am a Nashville based artist that does primarily Imaginative Figurative work. My work, whether I knew it or not, has always been focused on the spaces in Between; the Realms between Light and Shadow. I continue to explore this vista and hope to bring Beauty to the Corrupt and Connection to the Ethereal.
