As a child when the first hints of spring would arrive, our family would drive south to a lake. My dad kept a little boat there, and at the docks there would be dozens of blue and white swallows building their nests. They would dart out from the rafters making long swoops as they gathered their twigs. Ever since that time, seeing swallows has reminded me of those cherished spring mornings.
The size listed is including the frame, which is antique wood embellished with gold edges.
