Autumn Fairy

This piece is an 8″ by 10″ oil and acrylic painting on a board. It comes with an ornate black and gold frame that has the outer dimensions of 10.5″ by 12.5″.

This is the third piece in a series of four fairies, the autumn fairy. For this painting I experimented with my mediums a bit and included more of the drawing and underpainting into the final piece. I wanted to capture the vibe of fall with a touch of spookiness for Halloween!

Makenna Karp

Makenna Karp is a fantasy illustrator and oil painter specializing in illustrations for board games and book covers.

Commencing her formal art education at Pratt Institute in 2019, Makenna took a different path after a year, immersing herself in traditional painting and drawing at Watts Atelier from 2021 to 2023.

Currently, she calls northern California home. When she's not painting, she can be found climbing rocks or wandering through the redwoods.
