Angels In America

This mixed media image was a personal project/theater poster for the play Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, by Tony Kushner. The play is a complex, often metaphorical, and at times symbolic examination of AIDS and homosexuality in America in the 1980s. I remember watching the HBO miniseries of Angels in America as a (closeted, gay) teen in 2003 and being drawn in by both the story and fantastical, surreal elements.
