Ammonis

Named because of her resemblance to the fossil Ammonite, that being a derivative of the Egyptian Amun, the horned god. She is a small study in texture, rhythm and color. Her mantle, or horns if you prefer, are intended to look both rigid and flexible…like horn and tentacle combined. A balance of power.
This piece is oil and modeling paste on gessoed Stonehenge Cream Journal paper. She is 4″ in diameter and framed.

Allen Williams
Allen Williams is an award winning illustrator, concept artist and writer. From a young age he felt at home with a pencil in his hand drawing constantly.
