Blindness

I don’t remember when I first saw Magritte’s The Lovers in person, but I do remember being fascinated: it was unsettling, but it was also somehow comforting. The subject of love is a complex one, but I think that the tension I found in The Lovers – discomfort and peace, separation and intimacy – holds true.
