Herrerasaurus
by Owen Weber
Herrerasaurus is a dinosaur that dates back 231 million years ago, living in the Late Triassic Era Argentina. It could grow up to 20 ft. long and 770 lbs. in weight. It was a deadly carnivore built for speed, mostly preying on small and mid-sized plant eaters.
This painting, funnily enough, was primarily influenced by the three hyenas, Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed, from The Lion King. I feel like each Herrerasaurus in this painting has a different personality and role in this pack. The one on the left is the muscle, the middle one is the brains, and the one on the right a bit more flighty.
