Sleek as the river,
Emeralds for eyes
She is queen of this kingdom
Moon on the rise.

Patient as starlight,
‘Neath the tree where she lies,
Fur black as the shadows
Glitters like midnight skies.

The piece is framed in a 5 x 7 frame, though the actual artwork area is 6 x4 inches. Mixed media, watercolor, and gouache. The panther’s fur is painted in dark watercolors flecked with glittering tones of purple, teal, and blue, that shimmer when they catch the light (see close up image taken at a more reflective angle!).

Comes framed as shown in a red and mother of pearl frame – please note the frame is not suitable for wall hanging as is, would need to have frame eyelets added and the stand removed from the backing as it sits below the line of the frame when folded flat.
