Moon Hare
by McKenna Kornowski
The Easter bunny is older than Christianity; it symbolizes the moon hare sacred to the Saxon Goddess Eostre for which our Christianized holiday is named. Easter shows its pagan origin within mythology as Eostre’s moon hare was known to lay eggs on Easter eve and leave them for good little boys and girls.
