Wraith of the Everlasting Winter King

This wraith painting is an extension of a series I began a few years back of a group of spirits. These paintings and a few others were for a group show of horror art. I landed on the idea of opposites for that series and realized it might have come from one of my favorite horror scenes, the fully lit scene in The Exorcist III. If you’ve seen it you know the one. I painted those ghosts with a white background and let everything follow.

I needed to paint for myself another spirit, a wraith this time. I could not wait to start painting following the same theme.
