What’s In Your Tea, Alice?

by Valerie Savarie

Alice, Oh Alice
What do you see?
It is not the same as I
For you are drinking
Mushroom tea.

You say I am a rabbit
A hare as white as snow
With a teacup for a skirt
Accompanied by dancing yellow polka-dots
All a glow.

The teapot is made from a page of The Annotated Alice, hand sewn with vintage thread and painted in acrylic. The yellow polka-dots are scraps from book covers of past altered books. The background is artisan hand made paper. All within a vintage frame – piece can come with or without glass.
