Time and the Butterfly
by Heather Hudson

A 5”x7” (mostly) monochrome work on paper, rendered in graphite with prismacolor and touches of watercolor.
Time is deep… incomprehensibly, infinitely deep. But when I think about deep time, even about the small amount of time I personally inhabit, I don’t see the long years that brought me here to “now”. Humans can’t hold that in our heads. Instead, I see a series of bright flashing moments, each as luminous and ephemeral as a butterfly. It’s the butterflies I remember.
Even old Father Time can be charmed by a butterfly.
Artwork is offered matted and framed; frame outer size is 9.5″x 11.5″. No rights transferred with sale. Any import fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Shipping to the UK and EU is, alas, unavailable due to VAT.
