It looks like we are finally done with winter here in MA, and the sun is starting to warm things up a bit. This was painted a couple years ago now (almost to the day), reminding me what a joy it is to see the last of the snow melt away. Bare trees, bright stone, and fallen leaves are clean and gleaming. The cliff face behind fades back into purples and blues, while sharp cast shadows trail teal across the warm gneiss. I’m still pecking away on a larger version of this, and hope to have that available on the extended gallery soon.
“The Sound of Morning, Farley” is an original oil painting, 11″x15,” oil on stretched canvas, and mounted in a handmade black wood frame
