THE GREEN

Original Art by Andrew Sides

My list of favorite superheroes is small, but if I had one towards the top it would be Swamp Thing. I always loved Alan Moore’s take on it, with Swamp Thing being more of an entity of earth made sentient and mistakes itself to be a former human, and I wanted to lean into that horror of something assembling itself over the bones of the man it believes it is.
