Tendrils

Handmade paper from Nepal with it’s rich texture and gold leaf provides the perfect surface for this piece. I let the tendrils of the paper influence the push and pull of paint density and edges. The paper is sealed on a wood panel. The black and burnished gold frame compliments the surface and palette of the portrait.
