Connie Resch

Connie Resch is a Canadian-born artist and illustrator living in Washington state. Her artwork is inspired by traditional scientific and botanical illustration and draws influences from vintage ephemera. She uses a variety of media including colored pencils, ink, oils, acrylics, and watercolor. Driven by a tenacious curiosity for things in nature, she tends to concentrate on details and mechanisms and enjoys creating surrealism with her art. Both human and animal portraiture has been a big passion of hers from early on, as is creating joy for others through her artwork. Through her drawings and paintings, Connie opens up a dialogue with nature - by responding to what she finds captivating and striving to invoke a sense of wonder through her illustrations.
