They’re funny little things, the guardians of the stars: they don’t at all seem like the gigantic, threatening serpents in the legend my dads told me about. Rather… they’re tiny, gentle, and very curious…definitely nothing that I’m afraid of! I kind of want to sneak one home.

B.C. Peterschmidt has dreamed their entire life of being a visual storyteller. They were born and raised in Minnesota and began their career as a freelance illustrator, later graduating from Pratt Institute in NYC. Their debut graphic novel Amelia Erroway: Castaway Commander was published by Graphix, Scholastic in 2021 and took ten years to complete. B. C. Peterschmidt now makes their home in California with their partner and 9 pets.
They love dad jokes and saying micropachycephalosaurus.
