Letters I couldn’t send No. 3

Original Art by Marian Pham

The third in an ongoing series of ghostly ethereal portraits. A series of faceless women I had a vision of, who felt they left the earthly world too soon, and had something to say.

In a cord cutting meditation, I saw a vision of what could I only seem were female ancestors, spiritual predecessors, or matriarchs. I felt drained by the burden of carrying their dreams, wishes, burdens, and I wanted to be released; cut the cords, so to speak. In exchange, a portrait created and channeled through me allows them to be realized in this current plane of existence, this timeline, so that they can be appreciated and valued again.

Letter No 1 is also available on my website.

Painted with India ink, gouache, metallic dye sprays on Fabriano soft press watercolor paper. Dimensions are 11 x 7.5 in / 27.94 x 19.05 cm
