In The Forest

by Ania Mohrbacher

I miss spending time in forests.  As a child, I used to visit them quite often with my family to pick wild berries and mushrooms. Sometimes I’d find lovely flowers and I’d pick them and press them between pages of old books.  This piece is inspired by those memories.  I think I might even have a pressed flower just like the ones in this painting stashed in a box somewhere.

This painting is created with Daniel Smith watercolors on 300gsm Arches hot press paper.  The image size is 5 x 7 inches.
