Faerie Knots is a magical mixed-media painting created using ink and acrylic washes on Fabriano hot press paper. This piece is inspired by the folklore of faerie knots (or sometimes called witches knots), with faeries creating braids in horses hair during the night. Faerie Knots is roughly 6″x6″ and housed in a black frame with a gray-blue mat.

Caitlin Fowler is an artist based in Northern California. Her work is narrative based, gravitating towards the realm of dreaminess and dark fantasy with a feminine, ethereal feel. While she finds inspiration in everyday life and occurrences, her biggest influences have been mythology, folklore, literature, psychology and the natural world. She works primarily with mixed media using ink, acrylic washes, and colored pencil.
