Your invitation to the Spectacles of the Dark Zodiac sideshow has arrived!
This little herald was inspired by the newest collection that I’m working on, a new zodiac series based on sideshows and circus acts! I’ve been struggling to feel connected to the collection, so I thought it would be fun to design a moth for a mascot, and what better than a clown with popcorn, carnations, and snapdragon seeds?
The Clown Moth is painted in watercolor and gouache, with metal leaf accents. The frame was also built by the artist custom for the work.
Painting measures 7″W x 10″H and the outer edges of the frame measure 12.5″x16″H and 1″D.
