About the Artist
Nicolás Menay
Nicolás Menay (b. 1992, Viña del Mar, Chile) is an artist whose work centers on the discipline of drawing. Using graphite with subtle touches of color, he portrays childhood through portraits infused with symbolic, archetypal, and personal elements. His drawings serve both as meditative practice and as spaces for visual exploration, often contained within intimate small formats.
Nicolás studied oil glazing with Chilean painter Gisela Verdessi and holds a BA in Art from PUCV and a Master’s degree in Art with a focus on heritage from UPLA. His work has been shown internationally through group exhibitions with WowxWow, Myartisreal, and Nanny Goat Gallery, among others. He continues to develop new works while teaching and conducting research in the field of drawing.
