A ten dollar founding father. I actually really like painting these busts periodically as warm-ups, because their faces are so familiar to me. I’ll also often take out a bill from my wallet and do a warm up portrait before a live figure drawing session. After a while you kind of both know the face of the given guy like the back of your hand, but also somehow manage to learn something new each time. I’ve drawn and painted George, Abe, Alex, and Andrew so many times. Ben, not so much, but maybe someday.

Painting is 10 by 15 inches acrylic on board, and arrives unframed.
