Shawn Adomanis
Shawn is a mostly self-taught artist. His personal works focus mainly on traditional media, experimenting with many styles and surfaces. Over the years, that has ranged from original painted skateboards to watercolor illustrations to oil paintings. He is currently working on a 30 part series titled “Cultured Figures” (started in 2020) which is a series of figures created from mold, fungal, and bacterial cell cultures.
For more than 25 years, Shawn has been a professional digital designer, medical illustrator, 3D artist, programmer, and animator. Currently, he works as a Creative Director with over 20 years in the life sciences industry. His work has been shown at Beinart Gallery (Small Works 2025), Character In Context 2, Gallery Blue Door, and IX Arts Evening Showcase. Additionally, his work has been published in Infected by Art 11-13.
